FAQ

How Does It Work?

  • We build a first draft of your site based on your current website
  • You either accept the site “as is” or request changes, which we will make if they are possible and won’t compromise the integrity of your site or customer experience
  • Once you are satisfied with the mobile website, we register a domain based on your current domain, put your mobile site on our hosting and set your new mobile site to live
  • We give you a few lines of code to put into your current site (or a plugin if you have a wordpress site) that redirects mobile visitors to the mobile site
  • That’s it!

We continue hosting your mobile site for you.

As part of the ongoing service, we regularly check to ensure your mobile site is working properly. If any of your details change, you just let us know and we’ll update your mobile site.

Do You Change My Website?

No. You or your webmaster only need to put the few lines of code we give you into your website template to make sure mobile visitors see the mobile optimised version.

This code is not visible to anyone browsing your main website and will not affect your main website.

Do I Need To Know HTML?

As we manage the mobile website for you, you don’t need to know any html.

You only need to be able to copy and paste a few lines of code (which we will give you) into your main website template. If you are not comfortable doing this and you don’t have a webmaster, we can do it for you for a nominal fee.

How Long Will It Take?

We will do our best to have the first draft completed within 48 hours after we receive confirmation of payment.

After that, it depends how long it takes to make any changes you want and implement the code in your main website.

It is very unlikely to take more than a week from start to finish.

Why Mobile Optimised?

A mobile optimised website is essential for businesses where their customers are likely to need help on the go.

Imagine locking your keys in your house. You need a locksmith, so what do you do? Pull out your phone and search Google for one near you. You go to the first result, but it takes forever to load. The second is built in flash and won’t load on your iphone. The third is so cluttered you can’t find the phone number. The fourth has a mobile optimised website; you press the tap-to-call button and within a short period that locksmith is helping you out.

This happens all the time.

How much business would the first three websites have missed out on?

A few facts about smartphone users to consider:

  • By 2013, more people will use mobile phones than PCs to get online (Source).
  • 60% of smartphone users expect your website to load on their mobile in 3 seconds or less (Source).
  • 40% have turned to a competitor’s site after a bad mobile experience (Source).
  • Mobile users want to connect with businesses in their area: 95% have searched for local information, 61% call a business after searching, 59% visit the business and 58% looked up the business on a map or got directions (Source).
  • 50% of mobile searches lead to a purchase! (Source)
  • 77% of smartphone users use the search engines, 46% visit retail websites and 38% go to general consumer websites (Source).

  • If you run pay-per-click ads on Google without a mobile optimised website, you are probably getting hit with an ad quality penalty and paying more per click than you otherwise could (Source).
